Opinion by Martin
One night I had a dream. It was a dream about a powerful nation that had been conceived in Liberty and built on the ideal that, if a person worked hard enough, you could succeed. Then I woke up.
I found that the dream was broken. It was broken by Big Politics, Big Unions, and Big Businesses, but mainly by the greed of the government, at all levels, AND the “Establishment Media”.
During the first week of March we have seen an out of control government and media attempt to change the subject during an election year from Obama’s broken promises, lies, and leaping Socialism to contraception and “women’s rights”.
Through a staged event, a law student attending a Jesuit College stated that she was unable to afford her contraceptives which cost her in the neighborhood of $1,000 per year and this cost was impeding her sex life. Since I have done a little research, it seems to me that she seems to be a little extravagant about the costs of her “fun and games”.
As a taxpayer, I do not feel that I should bear the cost of her choice of recreation, nor should a religious institution be required to foot the bill through their insurance coverage. If I were in charge of that university, I would be considering whether or not I would be continuing any type of health care other than that which is recommended by third parties and would be up to the student and his/her parents to purchase.
The media has rather clumsily moved the subject from the corrupt, bankrupt, and dangerous policies of the Obama administration to one very small, insignificant question in the scheme of dismantling the United States of America and moving it into a socialist, if not communistic realm.
The media has completely sold out any objectivity and placed itself squarely on the side of union thugs, criminal aliens, and the Democrat Party to trample on the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights, that they so righteously hold up when they are called on the carpet for their nefarious positions.
November 2012 is your chance to tell the Democrat Party and their allies in the unions and media that enough is enough. This IS your chance to tell your Legislators at all levels that they work for you, that this Nation belongs to the People and not special interest groups who feel that you should support all of their dreams at the cost of yours.
